  1. Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Delivering roles and responsibilities as a part of statutory requirement.
  • Implementation of HPL HSE Management system to identify, assess, control hazards and risks to avoid accidents.
  • Implementation of HSE management system by developing different safety implementation tools, involving people for awareness and implementation of the system and checking the successful implementation of the system to avoid non-compliance.
  • Avoiding non-compliance with respect to safety statutory requirements.
  • Assisting the plant management in the effective implementation of company HSE policy through HPL Health, Safety management systems.
  • Hazard identification for all routine and non-routine jobs, suggesting hazard control measures to avoid accidents.
  • Awareness of employees for active participation and effective implementation of HPL
  • HSE management system.
  • Checking the implementation of HSE management system through inspections and
  • Supply of good quality PPE for all employees in time for personnel protection and to avoid
  • Assisting the plant in safe execution of high risks jobs like confined space entry, hot jobs in licensed areas etc.
  • Timely investigation of all critical near misses and incidents to identify the root cause and to prevent recurrence.
  • Increasing awareness and ensuring employee participation through safety promotional activities for accident prevention.
  • HSE communication through Plant level safety committee meetings, Plant Management Safety Committee meetings, Central Safety Committee meetings etc.
  • Preparing, updating, and monitoring of implementation of safety procedures.
  • Conducting behaviour-based safety observations in the field to identify safe and at risk behaviours of employees thereby identifying the scope of improvement for accident prevention.
  • Preparation of documents as per IMS system and monthly safety performance report, safety scorecard, Presentation etc
