Dr. Chatterjee was appointed as our Chairman in March, 2016. Dr. Chatterjee holds a B. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and holds Masters and Doctorate degrees in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Chatterjee was a research associate at the Stanford Research Institute. Dr. Chatterjee is a founding member of the Indian School of Business and Advanced VLSI Design Laboratory at IIT, Kharagpur.
Dr. Chatterjee’s background combines expertise in technology, management consulting and international investing. Dr. Chatterjee has investments in real estate, aviation, and financial services with the U.S. and India being his major areas of focus. Dr. Chatterjee has more than 35 years of experience in the petrochemical industry. Dr. Chatterjee is currently acting as a director for a number of The Chatterjee Group (TCG) companies such as TCG Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd, Chatterjee Holdings (Mauritius) Company etc. and also serves as a Director for the Indian School of Business and Asia Society India Centre.
Mr. Chatterjee was appointed as our Whole-time Director in August, 2016. Mr. Chatterjee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University and a post-graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT.
Mr. Chatterjee has more than 40 years of experience in the fertilizer and chemicals industry covering design, engineering, commissioning, technical services and project management with leading consultancy and operating plants in India and abroad. Presently, Mr. Chatterjee is a director of number of The Chatterjee Group (TCG) companies.
Mr. Chaudhry is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Chaudhry also serves as a principal Advisor of The Chatterjee Group (TCG). He holds a B. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Mr. Chaudhry has an enriched experience globally in the fields of Industrial and Infrastructure Development, from his 25 years of service with the World Bank Group, and in Technology, Management consulting and financial services, both in India and U.S.A with TCG. Mr. Chaudhry is currently acting as a director for a number of TCG companies.
Mr. Bhattacharyya is the former chairman of Coal India Ltd.. During Mr. Bhattacharyya’s tenure at Coal India Ltd., the Company was awarded Miniratna status in 2007, Navratna status in 2008 and Maharatna status in 2011. In 2010, Mr. Bhattacharyya spearheaded the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Coal India Ltd. Mr. Bhattacharyya has 35 years of experience in the coal and petrochemical industries. Mr. Battacharyya is currently a director of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, Ramkrishna Forgings Limited amongst other companies.
Mrs. Ghosh holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Jadavpur University and a Master's degree in Architecture specializing in Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Mrs. Ghosh began her career in 1979 with The Kuljian Corporation in Philadelphia, USA and in 1989, Mrs. Ghosh assumed additional responsibilities as a board member of Kuljian’s affiliate entity outside of the USA, the Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (DCPL), at the Company’s offices throughout India and at its international headquarters in Hong Kong. In April, 2008, Mrs. Ghosh was appointed the Chairperson of Development Consultants (DC) Group. Mrs. Ghosh is currently a director of Development Consultants Private Limited and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. amongst other Companies.
Mr. Chatterjee is currently the chairman of OBEETEE Private Limited, a company which manufactures and exports handmade carpets and a also Whole-time Director of Luxmi Tea Co. Private Limited, a tea production company with estates in Assam, North Bengal and Tripura. Mr. Chatterjee is a director of Makaibari Tea, a Darjeeling Tea Estate, Manor and Mews - a UK based furniture company, Biswa Bangla Marketing Co. Ltd., a West Bengal Government enterprise amongst other companies. Mr. Chatterjee was an associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, New York. Mr. Chatterjee graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and completed his MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School, New York.
Mrs. Yadav holds a Masters in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a M.SC in Public policy and Management from Kings College, London. Mrs. Yadav joined Indian Administrative Service in 1998. In her professional career as an IAS officer, spanning over 19 years, she has worked in general administration as District Magistrate, as Secretary in the Urban Development and Planning and Special Secretary of Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) with the Government of West Bengal.
Mrs. Yadav has also served in Department of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, gaining experience of international trade issues, negotiations and promotion. Mrs. Yadav also worked as Deputy CEO of the India Brand Equity Fund.
Mrs. Yadav is presently working as Managing Director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC) under Commerce and Industries Department of Government of West Bengal. Mrs. Yadav is also the Export Commissioner for the state. WBIDC is the premier nodal agency of West Bengal government for conceptualizing, development, growth and facilitation of industry, investment and infrastructure in West Bengal. Over the years the corporation is actively engaged in catalyzing investment through promotion and marketing of West Bengal as an investment destination.
Mr. Das is a post-graduate in Economics from University of Calcutta and also holds a postgraduate diploma in Web Design (Java, C++) from the Computer Society of India. Mr. Das has also cleared the Certified Associate Exam of Indian Institute of Bankers. Mr. Das has over 36 years of banking experience in various roles at the State Bank of India with core competencies in retail banking and corporate banking. Mr. Das was the Chief General Manager (Project Finance) SBI Mumbai. Mr. Das was appointed as the Nominee Director of the Company in September, 2017.

Mr. Arun Balakrishnan was the Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) from 2007 to 2010 and amongst other key positions held, was the Director Planning – Oil Coordination Committee, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Founder Chairman of HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd. (HMEL) and Former Chairman, Scientific Advisory Committee, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, etc.
Mr. Balakrishnan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore). Mr. Balakrishnan has expertise in the fields of Project Planning & Implementation, Finance, Human Resources, Science & Technology, Corporate Governance etc. and was awarded “The Distinguished Alumnus Award 2008” from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and “Personal Excellence Award 2009” for Excellence in Leadership, Emotional Intelligence Institute, Texas A&M University, Kingsville, USA, amongst many other accolades and awards.
Mr. Bhattacharya is a physicist and works on dynamical aspects of disordered condensed matter systems. Mr. Bhattacharya is a Distinguished Professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) of which he was the former Director. Mr. Bhattacharya received his B.Sc. degree from Presidency College, Kolkata, M.Sc. from University of Delhi and his Ph.D. at Northwestern University, all in Physics. Mr. Bhattacharya conducted postdoctoral research at the National Magnet Laboratory at MIT, University of Rhode Island. Mr. Bhattacharya was at the University of Chicago as a James Franck Distinguished Fellow before joining the Exxon Corporate Research Laboratory. Mr. Bhattacharya subsequently worked at the NEC Research Institute at Princeton where he was the Chair of the NEC Board of Fellows.
Mrs. Moitra has her Masters in Economics from Somerville College, Oxford University, UK and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Mrs. Moitra is the Chief Functionary at TCG Foundation, Kolkata for CSR Initiatives and in her role as Chief Functionary at TCG Foundation Mrs. Moitra had been responsible for the implementation of a large number of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in West Bengal and Maharashtra in collaboration with national level non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Mrs. Moitra is also a Director of Indian Capital Corporation Limited.
